Burger King

Though it has a bad reputation in Livingston, I think Burger King is a great fast food option for this small town. They have a nice variety of different fast foods, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, chicken nuggets, and more. Their biggest disadvantage for this town is its location. The town of Livingston thrives on businesses and restaurants that are easy to walk to, and Burger King is not that. It is on the edge of town and next to the interstate, which might bring in business from people traveling through, but it deters locals away from the restaurant. It is also the furthest restaurant from the University of West Alabama. The university has many students who do not drive, which makes this restaurant inaccessible for those students. If this business were located closer to the center of town and the campus of the university, it would have many more customers. Burger King’s biggest advantage is the hours that they are open. According to their website, the restaurant opens at 5:30AM on most days, with the dining room closing at 9PM or 10PM (depending on the day of the week), but their drive thru stays open until 1AM every night. This means that Burger King is the last restaurant to close every night in Livingston, which is probably their biggest strong suit. For a college town, it is important for students to find food at all hours of the day because of their odd and busy schedules. Some students could be up until midnight some nights working on homework or any other responsibility, so it is comforting to know there is a restaurant they can go to that is not a 40-minute drive away. With all this being said, Burger King is an amazing option for fast food in Livingston.
